Financial Commitments

GENERAL COUNCIL FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
The General Council of the Assemblies of God, in its program of developing the spirit of cooperation and fellowship in the U.S. and world mission fields, incurs considerable expense, including the financial support of the executive officers and offices.

Ordained ministers should recognize their obligation to contribute $25 per month ($300 per year) from their tithes, or as an offering. Licensed ministers should contribute $20 per month ($240 per year) from their tithes or as an offering; and certified ministers should contribute $10 per month ($120 per year) from their tithes or as an offering. All who can are strongly urged to give more than the suggested amount, either personally or through the assemblies they pastor.

Compliance with the above requirements shall be a prerequisite for renewal of credentials of all active ministers. If their contributions are in arrears, they shall be given opportunity to meet this deficit with their renewal.

ALASKA MINISTRY NETWORK FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
The work of the Alaska Ministry Network, in its oversight and development of the Network, incurs considerable expense including financial support of the full-time Network Officials and other help needed in maintaining its work, expenses, travel, etc. Therefore, to meet this need, every Certified Minister, Licensed, and Ordained Minister of the Alaska Ministry Network will pay a minimum monthly fee of $75 per month or eighty percent (80%) of his/her ministerial tithe, whichever is greater, to the Alaska Ministry Network General Fund.

In cases where both husband and wife are credentialed, the second credentialee shall be required to contribute a minimum of $10.00 per month.

Senior ministers 65 or over whose tithe is below the minimum requirements stated in the Bylaws shall not be expected to pay the minimum.

Nationally appointed US Missionaries and World Missionaries and Chaplains who have national ecclesiastical endorsement shall contribute according to the requirements set by the General Council Constitution and Bylaws.

The credentials of any minister who fails to support the Alaska Ministry Network with his/her tithes shall be withheld until reason is given to the Credentials Committee and validity is considered.  Any minister who has failed to meet his/her financial responsibility to the Alaska Ministry Network will not be eligible for transfer to another district or network until that obligation is satisfied.

Contributions should be sent to the AKMN monthly.
